work exchange

>> german version

Hellooo 👋

You can call me Nicy, and I absolutely love this way of travelling – I really do!
You get to have a meaningful and cool task, meet new people, learn so much about the area, the country and the people, and you get to immerse yourself soooo much deeper into the local culture than you ever would on a typical self-planned holiday staying in a hotel or holiday apartment. Every single one of my experiences so far has been 100% worth it!! 🤗 And thankfully, all of my hosts have always been more than happy with me too. 😊

About me:

⛰️ I absolutely love the mountains and being outdoors in nature.

🐶 I was never allowed to have pets growing up. Now that I’m an adult, I still don’t have enough time in my everyday life to properly have my own animals (yet). That’s why I’m especially grateful for any work-for-accommodation experiences where I also get to spend some time with animals. 🥰

🔨 I’m not a professional tradesperson, but I’m definitely not afraid to get my hands dirty either. I’m very much a “I can do it myself” kind of person and like figuring things out and getting things done. I recently even renovated an apartment together with my brother.

📸 I love photography, and people often tell me that I have a good eye for it.

💻 I’ve worked in process management, controlling and marketing, and I also know my way around WordPress — so if any of that could be useful to someone, I’m happy to help. 🙂

🐮 I’ve also worked on a farm before!

🙋‍♀️ I’m 31 years old, originally from southern Bavaria, and currently live near Lake Ammersee, close to Munich. Before that, I lived in Austria for a few years. In general, I try to live and eat in a way that feels good and healthy for me.

💪 People would probably describe me as sporty — but fact is: I can work hard, and I genuinely enjoy it!
I exercise somewhat irregularly, but my body can definitely handle long and challenging hikes. I love getting stuck in and helping out, and I’m totally fine with work being physically demanding — actually, I enjoy being able to really tire myself out. (It clears my head and does my body good, especially when I otherwise spend most of my time sitting in front of a laptop.)

👀 You can currently find more photos, videos and little insights into my life, personality and travels on Instagram: nicy_zimmerlein

Feel free to have a look around to get a first impression of me. And if you think we could be a good fit, I’d be happy to chat or have a call afterwards — you usually get a pretty good feeling quite quickly about whether it could work well! 😊
